My longest-running series is an expansion on the idea of continuity in nature. The title was inspired by the number of months in the Western calendar, and the colours were taken from the most prevalent colours of each month in the Northern Hemisphere.

The idea was to present the completed series in a round or square room, with the viewer placed in the centre of it. Although the paintings are titled numerically, there isn’t a formal starting point for the viewer. They can start at a random point in the gallery, and go either clockwise or counterclockwise, until they complete the circle, and watch as the shapes and colours morph from one canvas into the next.

I started work on this series in 2009, and finally completed it in 2024.

Oil on canvas, 40" x 40" (101cm x 101cm) each. Available pieces are 2,400 CAD each.
